Person to person and device to device, even copying kernel tweaks from 1 device to another don't give the same result.Okay cool, thanks man. Just a bit concerned about battery and performance but I guess it can vary from person to person.

So this post just made me put my larger case back on my Note8Damnit my screen broke yesterday after a maybe 10cm fall onto a tilehas lasted over 2 years with plenty of drops and now this

I was using the slim Case that came in the box for a little while, but the chances of a screen breaking after a fall with that case are far too high versus this Incipio case I have that has helped my phone survive falls down stairs concrete and tiles without a scratch. Well it could have been a blessing in disguise, because I got myself the Mate 10 Pro and it's awesomeSo this post just made me put my larger case back on my Note8I was using the slim Case that came in the box for a little while, but the chances of a screen breaking after a fall with that case are far too high versus this Incipio case I have that has helped my phone survive falls down stairs concrete and tiles without a scratch.
Hope you can sort out the S7 Edge, such a great device. I had an awesome Speck case on mine that had huge top and and bottom lips to protect it from falls, worked very well.
Indeed. One more question, if you don't mind - did you do a backup of your apps+data and restored it to Oreo or did you just install them from scratch when you installed Oreo?Person to person and device to device, even copying kernel tweaks from 1 device to another don't give the same result.
Where did you get the mate 10 from by the way?Well it could have been a blessing in disguise, because I got myself the Mate 10 Pro and it's awesome![]()

Yeah I'm not gonna do all that.
I downloaded a ROM that specifically said XFV, installed it. Reset the phone after installation just to be safe, reset the phone with the SIM card out, with the SIM card in, with the SIM card in a different room, with the phone upside down. It just refuses to install the XFV, but funnily enough, with every reset, it installs some other CSC number. Seems there is some sort of lottery going on in the phone with a spinning wheel. Ir a battle royale to see which one gets installed. **** knows, I officially give up.
Hi did you get Samsung Pay to work yet?
I had the same issues you did, ended up downloading this rom:
https://samsung-firmware.org/download/Galaxy__S7__edge__/80l2/XFA/G935FXXS3ERHD/G935FOJV3ERI3/
Now it's working.
Thanks. It is downloading painfully slow, so I will let you know in like 2 weeks...
Yeah I know it's a pain... If you stuggle I can put it up for you on Dropbox or something if it'll help.
Let me know.
Okay I am busy uploading it to Google Drive. Not sure how long it will take. Hopefully I can send the link to you still sometime this afternoon.Yes please. I have 200Mbit available and it has only downloaded 90MB :/
