Samsung Galaxy S7

Vodacom launched with exclusive gold rights IIRC

Yeah I see a VODA Smart L being over R1000pm for an S7 Edge (S6 Edge still R899 on Smart L now)
Vodacom have like the stiffest prices... Better off with TM

yep, R18K so you can brag about having a flagship device for 2 months...
I find it really worthwhile being 1 generation behind. N95, HTC One X, Note 3 and now G4. All have been at realitively low contract prices considering they where all flagship devices

I'm happy to be a bit behind, I'm still using my S5 no worries.
But even the S6 is still over priced.
I think it has cost Samsung a lot on sales.

In a heavily saturated market where they should be dropping prices, they are going in the wrong direction.

The only thing that Samsung has done right with the S7 is the bigger battery, as far as I'm concerned the rest of the stuff is just fluff.

If that generation is 1: available and 2: priced properly.

After my S5 was stolen (bit after the S6 came out) I went to see the pricing of s5's on Vodacom and they were the same as or more than the s6.

Now there are no S5's available on Vodacom and pretty sure that instead of price dropping the s6's will just vanish off the options when the S7 has been around for about a year.

If possible just bide your time and check the catalogues monthly. The Note 4 is decently priced on MTN atm for example.

I'm with you. Sold my S4 with 3 months ADH left and bought S5 for R6400. When S6 comes close to that price I will sell the S5 and move to S6. 1 generation behind suits my pocket perfectly.

Forget the S6 altogether, you're better off waiting for S7 to get cheaper.

Eligible for upgrade so want to go for an s7 pre order but nothing!
