yeah, Tried that. Its greyed out and doesn't allow me to change/enable it.

I have S8+
To access /see Hd settings
Plse note,
you cannot find it in ordinary Settings.

To see / enable, you can either use Nova /activities, but
i used QuickShortcutMaker app.

Also note if you are out of 4G range
setting turns off and auto back on in 4G again.

Thank you very much, found it with the app you mentioned. It was off by default not sure why, switch it on yet still no volte. Tried 2 sims.

For icon to appear you must pass
following requirements..
(according to what i experience)

Service provider must offer service.
Phone/Software must be able to do
voLTE
Provider must enable it and the will
send a sms to confirm.
Your phone must be
in LTE reception area.

If you passed all of above
you can check that HD setting
to see if its greyed out or
if you can manually enable it?

Just make sure you did
not disabled "something/app/bloat"
with package disabler and thus have a knock on effect on this Hd setting.
Last resort,
a factory reset ?

It does show 4g so i do have receoption.

Just did a factory reset lol.
Last resort for me is to flash software again.

All the above checked, but still, only 4G.

Will do, software downloading atm. But, ockie has mentioned in another thread that the services are down. Maybe that's why and maybe wefew are affected only while others have the service.
 
Dissapointed with the Samsung S8. It looks too glittery and plasticy and the mechanical button at the bottom is quite hard to press. Feels wrong in my hand as well. Went back to My P10 plus.

I get what you saying wrt to the plastic feel of some colours. What colour did you have?
I got the orchard grey so it's not so bad.

And wrt to the button, there's a setting you can change as to how hard or soft you need to press to activate it.
 
Has anyone encountered any problems with the voice / sound disappearing while on a call with the S8?
My sister has the S8, and the sound will intermittently disappear while we are on a call.
She has tried a SIM swop, updated the firmware and so far hasn't been able to rectify the issue.

Knowing the speed of our networks... They'll probably skip to 8.x
I'll keep an eye on Sammobile for a Euro ROM, and flash one when available.
