Next week. I'm going away for the long weekend from tomorrow morning, and need some proper interaction with it first.

Also, my review will probably be just about "what's new" since each iteration of Samsung these days are just minor improvements.

These feckers at MTN are taking so long to give me my damn phone, got the sms saying that the application has been conditionally approved and that i should wait for the dealer to contact me. Nothing yet..

Same. I contacted the dealer... He told me that they are waiting for stock. Supposed to come in on Friday, but might be delaye due to the public holiday.

I have resigned to just being patient. :D
 
Received an SMS from Vodacom that VoLTE has been activated. How do I make these calls and what are the advantages? Thanks.

You don't have to do anything extra, if you are in an area with 4G/LTE it will automatically work.

The advantage is the call will be higher quality because it's a higher bitrate than a normal call.
 
I got my S8 Plus yesterday and it is a great phone when you come from a S6.

The phone is not that big and fits comfortably in my one hand.

Battery life is a revelation after constantly having to worry about a phone. Woke up this morning and still had 78% battery left after a night of using it constantly.

Not getting the S8+ but the S8 and I'm so excited to have good battery life for the first time in four years, I had the S4 and S6 both of which famously have horrible battery life.

The S8 is only 5.5mm taller than the S6 but has a 178mm bigger screen, that's quite impressive, ~83.6% screen-to-body ratio vs ~70.7% screen-to-body ratio.
 
Yes ,and its quite a slim type case .
and it still feels very good in hand .!!
Overall i went for black .....
S8+ black ,case black .Samsung Theme black .......
 
... and for those of you that like a more naked look and don't mind voiding a warrantee he is an option
