Samsung HDD's!

My 250GB is going strong after 3 years - this includes the time I thought it was dead (PEBCAK on my side due to faulty SATA cable) and left it on the couch one weekend for my little monster to play with.

Their diagnostic tool is awesome and does a descent job of reformating your drive to factory default - resolved corruption from fault SATA corruption.
 
Samsung is not a new comer on HDDs.

They started to manufacture HDD from 15 years ago.
 
Yep, Samsung's Spinpoint HDD's have been around for ages and were known to be good quality, quiet units
 
Isn't it weird hey.

I've never seen Samsung HDD's (by that, I mean, I've never seen them on Dealer price lists or actually seen a full on Samsung HDD with Samsung branding etc) and then I post here and you guys rip me off for living under a rock.

Now... all dealers are sending out specials on Samsung drives, they adding it full on to their price lists etc.

I've ordered and will be collecting 2x 500GB "Samsung" drives later ;)

My first Samsung HDD purchase.

If you guys know friends who can buy from the suppliers, ask them to check those suppliers because they are ALL running specials on 500GB's, 750GB's & 1000GB's.

I could buy 750's or 1000GB aka 1TB drives but I prefer to stick to 500GB drives.
