Beat Box and nothing from the 'getjar' java app site is completely groovy, the latest one i tried only played mp3 and messed did something to my speaker/HP setup

I think 1 problem is that this phone is still so new, there r few apps out there for it. I heard a rumor that they changed the operating software at the last minute? windows mobile to symbiam and if that is true then they would have caught everyone napping.

Maybe but u just cant compare samsung with nokia when it comes to 'usability'

hey dude easy, im samsung to the core, but nokia is definitely better, i mean samsung game is that they always try to have 1 up one da rest of the heard, (omnia 1st with touch screen)whereas nokia is good all round and then sum

relax:D I've owned 4 nokia's from day 1 - 1310 / 5110 / 6230 / 6110. this is my first samsung. I bougth the i8910 omnia for it multimedia abilities! I wish there was a way to turn OFF the PHONE function!!:D

Hi guys

I've been following your quests to get i8910s (in particular, Liberty1988), and now I'm beginning mine. I've been emailing MTN and nagging them at their Pavillion branch (Durban) for some time now, to no damn avail. They keep on "waiting to get stock, sorry Sir..."

Do any of you know if some branch around the country has stock so that I may tell MTN Pavillion where to order? Any contact details would be great.

hey jarrod have you tried MTN Musgrave, they had units last time i checked.

With regards to apps there are a ton of s60 5th edition apps available but not all work for the i8910.. tried Opera Mini 5 though.. damn its awesome.

Thanks for your suggestions. No, Liberty, I haven't tried phoning them; I've been relying on the MTN employees to do that for me. Not a good idea, I'm guessing :confused:

My friend at the MTN Pavillion contacted Musgrave to find that they do not have stock of the i8910.

Still waiting on Canal Walk...

Any other suggestions?

I have sent you a private message with the details of the contact person at MTN that helped me get my phone. :)
 
Progress

Well, I emailed your contact, Liberty, and she sent an email to various people (with me CCed), requesting delivery of i8910s to the Pavillion.

She seems very helpful and efficient. Let's hope the suppliers are too...
