You could always check it out in store with a torch or something. ;)

You can set its Eco mode/sensor to increase cell light/brightness during day, and decrease it during night.

Got mine today... Cant wait to setup. Got it for R8800 and paid R899 for a extented 3yr warranty from game.

Game are great, I've swapped two items recently (one of those fancy desk chairs a few weeks ago and a big food processor thing today) - both times there was no questions asked.
Both times I also swapped it out at a DIFFERENT Game then where I originally bought it.

3 days after I got my F5500 the guy working at the audio/video department even phoned me to ask whether I'm happy with the set.
 
Which Game did you get that at?
I was there today and it was priced at the original R 10999. I also want to get me one of these sets.:confused:

Probably a price beat based on another shop with the PS51F5500 for R8,999 (Makro?). Game beat the cheaper price by 10% of the difference in price. So R10,999 - R8,999 = R2,000, so 10% = R200 so you pay R8,999 - R200 = R8,799.

Great. I see Makro has it back on promotion. I checked a couple of days ago and it was also back at normal price at Makro. Promotion is now running again. Will pop down to Game and get me one today. :D
 
Yeah i just told them about the makro promo at R8999 and they gave it to me for R8799
 
Loving this TV so far. I've been setting up an xbmc and just realized that this TV supports CEC - allowing me to control the xbmc via the TVs smart remote!
 
Does not work on mine.

Says device not found.

Don't you need a special HDMI cable for this?
