Hi guys I upgraded to Jellybean and it works perfectly accept the mobile data doesn't work so only have internet over WIFI. I am unfortunately on MTN that does not release Jellybean to S2 users :( Anybody that can help me with this?

My email is henryvdwalt (at) gmail.com

You need to change your APN settings under Settings > Mobile Networks, or just get a new sim card.

The APN settings are super easy, just search on Google for MTN APN settings and insert it manually.

Got my new sim for MTN a few days ago and my internet is now working :)

I guess you flashed the Spain ROM?
I also changed my sim a few weeks back, I can get data over 3G but I cannot update or download any apps from the store - they basically hang and downloading is a continuous loop. I also cannot download any attachments :(
All other services work and download over 3G fine - i.e. Google maps, email etc.

Can you download apps over 3G ok?

Via Wifi, everything works perfectly.

Everything works 100% for me(just have the annoying lock screen bug). I flashed the rooted original ROM. I downloaded it as it came out. So don't think its the Spain one.

Go into your APN settings and clear the proxy IP, save settings and test.

I had the same problem after JB 4.1.2 upgrade on my Galaxy S2. Phone would connect to MTN GSM but not to data. I tried flashing different version of the modem software to no avail. Editing and saving the APN entries would cause them to dissappear. Eventually tried a new Cell-C sim and it worked so the problem was with the simcard for sure!
Got a new sim 128k card upggrade from MTN (R135.00) to replace my old 32k card and, instant success! So, JB upgrade on Galaxy S2 definately requires an upgraded simcard if you have an older one. Now using I9100XWLSN_I9100XXMS2_I9100OXXLS8_NEE rom firmware with no problems.
