Samsung T260 Questions

1. Whats AV mode for?
2. The 2x USB ports on the monitor, what are these for ... reason i ask i plugged in my dongle for my mx revolution and it dont work, neither do my memory sticks

EDIT: my windows 7 driver listing shows the monitor as generic PnP monitor ... cant get updated drivers :(

the usb ports will need to be connected to one of your pc's usb ports via a cable connecting to the back of the monitor.

The USB ports... yes, it's a USB hub. Plug it into your pc to work :)
It could possibly work, but run the cd you got with it in W7 and run it under compatibility mode for Vista. I got drivers to work that way before.

Tried installing it off the CD through Device Manager?
 
so i need to plug one of my USB port on the monitor into one of the USB ports on my PC, so that i can use the other remaining USB on the monitor?

windows update comes up with nothing for the T260 :( ... i am running it via HDMI if that has anything maybe to do with it, it seems i have less banding when compared to DVI (maybe its just me)

No, there should be a seperate connector on the screen for the USB cable to the PC. It usually looks like a USB printer cable. Not sure about on that monitor though.
 
ok found it ... took my printer cable and plugged it in ... and .... it gives me a error 10 code :( ... finds generic usb hub but it does not power up:(

oh and on the drivers ... windows 7 indeed does have drivers for the T260 (via DVI) ... BUT when connected via HDMI it picks up the monitor as generic PnP ... :) ....

EDIt x2: Ok got it working ... yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D ... the the usb cable into the monitor to the PC had to click in properly which it was not ... (weird sure it was in properly) ....

ok ... its an intermittent problem it seems with the USB connection between my monitor and PC ... tried different USB connections on the PC and thought it was all ok when i got it working ... but this morning, "error 10" again ... maybe its an issue with windows 7 drivers :(

Don't worry too much about that. If the screen resolution is fine and there is no blur, then it works perfectly. You will have to connect the screen to a USB port on your PC somehow for it to extend USB functionality as mentioned before. Are there only two ports on the backpanel?

ok i think (touch wood) i found the problem ... initially used a printer cable and then saw "hey this monitor comes with a usb cable to plug to the PC" ... so used that one instead, no problems so far ... (the cables do look a little different)

And yes this monitor has two USB ports at the back and the one printer type looking port to connect to the PC
