Samsung vs. Acer

Thanks for the advice chaps, You have given me a lot more options, now knowing I don't have to go the 2ms route, although now with being spoilt for choice as options abound, you've left me alot more confused!:) but it's all good, shot

Go with Samsung. Tried and tested brand in display range. Plus, it looks

and it is the opposite as "Person"

<trust his judgement / advice at your own peril>

Yeah, don't know much as to why you say this, but since this post of yours "person" hasn't come back, wonder why? hmmmm

Do a search on the forum for him, Dot computers or Brian Gibello.
Methinks, you will understand after you read some of the material in there.

Take the cheapest one. They're both excellent, there's little to choose. Both brands have been around for ages too. Both have good support.

Someone one mentioned the Acer looked smaller. That's an illusion. With LCD screens you get the full 19" display size. It's only with CRT where the tube size and the viewable area are not the same. That's why 1400x1050 res is quite comfortable on a 15" notebook but almost unreadable (if at all possible) on a 15" CRT.
