I think we may soon hear what the real problems are, once he's safely back home with his big bucks in the bank.
I've no idea if he is a top class coach or not, but I guess that he was being undermined by politics which would have ruined it even for the best of coaches.
Surely you cant feel like a Man Utd supporter now. Unlike Man Utd, South Africa hasnt won anything for a decade(i think), and unlike South Africa, Man Utd are top of their league and *cough* reigning champions. Sure got well between by Barcelona, but hey, got to the final. Bit better than bafoona bafoona, no ?gotta admit he was no good for the team
but i feel sorry for him... he's probably never had to coach a team as *hopeless as ours and he probably had dreams for making the hosts of the 2010 world cup a real force to reckoned with.
*note that i do not think bafana are hopeless, i just couldnt think of a better word. I cheer for bafana everytime and one day (in the faaaaaaar future) when they play well I wont have to feel like most Man Utd supporters.
gotta admit he was no good for the team
how did he rip any one off - he named a salary and got paid it?
obviously, just like the athletics, the soccer administrators are not to blame
oh well, lets hope now they can finally come to their senses and appoint some local couches - how about getting clive barker and jomo sono (if he can leave his multi million rand investments) to team up?
Ja, how can a guy who can barely speak English communicate with his players?!
Good riddance I say!
The English Premier League has a few. And yes, equally successful.
