I don't understand why we can't have Guus Hiddink to be our coach?

his proved he can transform a very weak term to be a strong term.

But now everything is too late ..............


why we want a Brazilian (Santana or Pareira)?, do safa think we are the same as Brazil?

I never said it's the best players we have in SA. There are infinitely better players not currently in the national team. Some of those currently in the team should not be there at all.

But when selections are made it depends on the vision of the selector and how he anticipates to utilise the selected players' abilities.

That is why the coach (and not the players) gets fired when the team is not performing well
 
Do you even watch local footie pitbull?

The main problem with local footie is firstly there is no development from a young age, secondly we play on very poor pitches that do not make playing good soccer easy.

There are some very good teams in SA

SSU
Chiefs are actually gathering momentum, Pirates cannot score but have a good team
Bloemfontein celtic have an awesome team and a great coach.
Santos look half decent.
Golden arrows are also excellent and have a couple great stikers which for some reason santana would not include in the SA team.

You need to watch a bit of local footie before doing what i did and syaing it is crap, when you watch it you will see our soccer is not bad at all.

I watched and sundowns and that was a better game than the other 3 english games i watched.

Santana is the reason we are doing so poorly. There is an abundance of SA talent in the local league but it takes someone to notice that.

For me gavin hunt should be put in charge of SA, the supersport panel also think so. Owen da gama would do a better job than santana.

M. Mayambela this is a super star of note i think and should get a spot in our team.

I think a team comprising Gavin Hunt as head coach, Owen Da Gama and Neil Tovey as assistants would be awesome.
Neil Tovey -> because he has been there at national level as a player and actually won a Cup as captain.
Owen D Gama -> a former player who has also done very very well as coach.
Gavin Hunt -> it's obvious the man is sheer genious. He has transformed SSU into the most dominant team in the league in his first two seasons.

SAFA needs to think out of the box now that time is running out. There is no time for a foreign coach who still has English and watch DVD's of players in past matches. These guys would know who to select straight away.

BTW. The Chiefs vs Sundowns game was indeed a very good game.

I was chatting to my dad and i was saying to him if you look at capello from england, you will always see him at games watching prospects, watching his players play. I have never seen santana at a match looking for some talented players.

I then need to ask myself HTF is he choosing these players? Based on what?

The SA soccer administration should demand supersport released hunt and pay them like 5-10m or something like they have been paying all these fancy non english speaking okes who cannot do farkin anything.

Get hunt in, he knows the good players, he turned supersport from an average team into the countries best team for the last couple seasons. Hunt is the best coach in SA by a mile and SA under hunt could be quite a force.

We need to stop looking overseas for players, we have an abundance of talent right here in SA playing in our league. Hunt knows who they are.

Knowing the way sport is run in SA, I'd expect that he had no say in the player selection.
 
No rubbish, that is like saying rugby and cricket are not chosen by the coaches.

Soccer is not different, in fact soccer is less challenged because of all the blacks in the team.

In my opinion santana just saw a pay check, HTF do you say he was not brought in to win friendlies? Seriously glad they got rid of him.

Yes many black South African's have this misconception that only a Brazilian can coach us because their football is similar to ours. Not realising that when Brazil played under Pareira that defence came first. People talk about South African football like we have a special way of playing. The days of doing tricks on the field to entertain the fans are long gone. Our players lack discipline and they have no concept of tactics. We get rid of national coaches but the incompetent football administrators keep their jobs.

THEY SUCK DONKEY BALLS. And yes I firmly believe coloureds to be way better at soccer than anybody else being fielded in the current PSL.

Pick an international coach with no international coaching experience...oh wait...we've done that already.

go local. clive barker! just for the fun of it. its not like we will get to round 2.
 
add hunt too. and make put the players under intense fitness tests.

then schedule 4-8 matches against top 10 teams and scrap the stupid 9 friendlies against teams like iceland, norway etc.

or even a 3 match "tour" against brazil.
