SAOL.com website not reachable

I tried checking my bandwidth remaining but the site is unavailable. It worked a couple of hours ago. H.
 
Something broke big time overthere. SAOL was down for a big part of the day. It is mostly back online, but their website and stats is not. Just be patient, hopefully they will have everything back soon.

You are a noob/newbie. I had to learn the hard way. The mods will tell you that you should do a search first before posting a new thread. The thread is here.

I'm also with SAOL. Been using them since October last year. They are reliable and provide generally good service. At least now I am able to send/receive emails. Only their website is still down.

In any case my SAOL uncapped account is still down. Been like this since about 7.45 this morning...

This is starting to piss me off now...
 
Thanks MicS. Will amend my etiquette. i don't want the mods to nuke/nook my noob/newbie.

ps. Nothing wrong with SAOL.com, love their service... just not able to get to their website. my connection is still working with saol.com
 
OK so the SAOL website is back online. Still can't connect using my SAOL uncapped account though. Using Afrihost ATM. This sucks. I want my uncapped back! I'm losing out here!

Power your router down and back up again.
 
My Afrihost was working fine, without needing to power down the router. In any case I tried it just for the heck of it, so that my line could re-sync with exchange. But still no SAOL connectivity, and still running on Afrihost...

I've never been completely down for so long with either Afrihost, or even iBurst. This really sucks...

Where is Neethi? We need to know if/when this will be resolved.

YES - And what a cheek SAOL has - their own website is running, yet the websites of all their clients hosting with them HAVE BEEN DOWN SINCE TUESDAY MORNING... Absolutely ridiculous!! :mad:

Check the other thread. It should be OK. Just reboot the router neethi said!

Give break, take a Kit Kat. They just came back a few minute ago. they are still working round the clock!

Yip that's the next step I guess....

UPDATE: Just phoned them - an automatic voice response said that the 95% of connectivity should be restored. Guess I'm amongst the remaining 5%?? Also, coudn't get through to support. After hours support ends at 9pm.

This sucks. Can't wait for WebAfrica to launch their new packages on their new network, and get 24hour telephonic and email support. Hopefully they will be offering even better priced uncapped packages...

I've been taking KitKat breaks for the past 17 HOURS waiting for them 'to come back'...! my chocolates and PATIENCE is running out!! :mad::mad:
 
Website is loading fine since late last night - but I still cant log into the UserZone. Not a problem, just an observation.
