SAOL speeds

Hi,

Has anyone experienced speed throttling after they switched from SEACOM to IS? This happened to me after they asked me to update my username on my router from [email protected] to [email protected]...

I'm on that R499 p/m uncapped (384kbps) option which I signed up couple months ago...

I wasn't asked to change my username, but i have experienced degraded speeds on SAOL.
This better not become the norm or i WILL jump ship!
30gig limit plus this nonsense equals B.S!

Well the degraded speed I started experiencing from November.
Gave them a call but they weren't very helpful. I didn't get a 30gig limit notice though, so going to ignore that for now.

I'm also thinking of jumping ship to mweb's R499p/m unshaped uncapped.

Thanks, glad to know i'm not the only one suffering from SAOL.

i noticed today i got lower speeds since on the diff username normally get full speed on utorrent but today getting 20k max on a good seeded file
i wonder if it still unshaped hmmm

Nope! Spoke to the SAOL guys today and according to them, yeah we signed up for 348 unshaped uncapped but if you abuse the privilege, you will be changed over to shaped. ABSOLUTE BS.

Well.. SAOL just screwed us all..

I send my cancellation email thru... and to move my line back to Telkom. They won't get a penny out of me

I sent my cancellation as well. and I'm loading a stop on the debit order.
I'm not getting what I paid for this month....

Now I just need to find a new ISP........
Any suggestions?
