SARS 2010 returns turn-around time.

Filed (with rental income/loss, RA, income protection) on Monday 02 Aug and got paid this morning. They didn't even ask for supporting documents:)

I think if you get below a certain amount (R10,000) you don't need supporting docs.

I was asked for supporting docs on Saturday. I uploaded them on Monday evening. Still waiting. I will update when they get back to me.

36hrs here... filed on Tuesday night and the refund cleared this morning. Not to be ungrateful in the least, but if only it were a little more! :D

Documents for Return Submission Document Sending in progress 2010/08/02 1012 2

Geez. They guys are taking forever. Uploaded on Monday and I am still awaiting word. Does anyknow know what they actually do with the Supporting Documentation? How they verify, etc?

when you uploaded the documents, did you then go and name the document? you don't just upload the documents.

I uploaded my own very basic spreadsheet with the months showing the amounts thats were spent on what and uploaded the scanned reciepts as proof after naming the pdf's to match the spreadsheet descriptions. Took them 8 days to assess and pay out.

I just accepted the default Group Name and hit Submit to Sars after I uploaded my documents.

@supersunbird. I just scanned the IRP5 documents that I got from my work. I will check next week, hopefully I will be refunded by then. At least now I know that they do take many days even after giving them proof.

I uploaded my sheets and named them according to the categories I claimed. e.g. 4016.

once you have uploaded you need to then name them i think it's underneath at the bottom or you can do it on the front page of the IT12.
