Company loaded 2 irp5's instead of one.

I ended up "owing" them R52k due to this.

Did dispute.
Sars then "owes" me R57k

But as the 52k was fantasy money they just owe me the difference between the two numbers.

Don't you mean you only get the 57k? Unless you already paid them the erroneous owing amount of 52k.

Otherwise, the difference is 109k, which won't make any sense for you to get unless you already paid the 52k over to them...

My E-filing turned out a nightmare. For the last how many years I have been using the code 3616 for independent contractors, now SARS came back and said I must a use a different code and resubmit everything as no expenses can be claimed. Not even business travel.

He means he only gets the R5k difference.

SARS don't change the original assessment so the new, updated assessment is large enough to cancel out the original incorrect one.

No completion letter but a note when mouse hovers over an "i" next to submission indicating assessed on 7 August 2016 and statement to be issued in 2 weeks.

Not sure but since normally verification takes 2 weeks hopeful it will be done soon.

Basically 2 weeks slower than last year, but then I submitted everything 1 July.

Just got news in .... my first assessment submitted resulted that I am in the green at sars (meaning, they owe me).

Made a l little medical credit fault, added one month to much.

I can live with R273 less !

Sjoe, but it was a mission. Got asked 2 times for supporting docs !!!!!

You can but will need to provide an affidavit when submitting supporting documents.

It will however present problems in future as SARS is prepopulating medical aid data received from the medical aid companies. This info will then go on the tax return of the person in who is the main member.

I would suggest changing the main member

When did you submit?
I submitted docs 1 August and no request for anymore but also no completion letter.
Looks like I'll have to wait until September
Wish they had a status feature or countdown .
Usually I get a response within 2 weeks.

Has anyone else had a special stopper placed on their account that blocks your refund from being paid to you? No one at SARS can tell me why it was put on my account and every time I phone it seems every staff member has a different requirement on how to remove it?

Had this last year, they needed to confirm banking details with me.

Thanks, I dropped a copy of my bank statement and ID on the 10th of Aug at the branch, am I being impatient?

Hi, a quick question. I received an additional assessment ( reduced by 2k) on the 29th of July , is that the same as receiving a completion letter saying there are no adjustments. i.e. is it done or will they still send a completion letter?

Hey guys, just a quick question. I submitted my e-filing on the 6th of July. The next day I received a letter for documents for review. I sent that in the same day. It's been nearly 2 months. I haven't received another letter or anything. It just says documents submitted. Same as the day I sent them, nothing has changed. The money owing to me hasn't changed. Nothing has changed and I haven't received any notifications. Could something be wrong? They owe me quite a bit so I'm just stressing here. Any advice?
