I’m done as well, can someone refresh my memory, if it says “return - assessed” , am I done? No audit?

The calculation shows a decent 5 figure return, but SARS haven't updated my banking details. So the whole day I sat at SARS changing my banking details and doing the whole fingerprint verification in May was useless.

LOL...

EFiling, coming from those rockstars at Shandon Business. After all these years and they still can't get their VB.net going properly. EFiling is such a ****ty site :/

It will show a Y or an N in the Audit column of the document generated with your assessment, that's your answer.

So I'm just done with mine. A bit pissed off because it turns out that my new employer had been claiming tax credits on medical aid payments already, so that has slashed my return by more than 50% (although I can't complain because technically I saved that money through the year).

The whole process works just fine. Just one top tip I've learned in previous years, if you're using Chrome make sure that you've first disabled Chrome's PDF viewer plugin (simply via the plugin settings). This will open the automatically-generated SARS PDFs (with your calculation and assessment) via Adobe Acrobat externally, and it will display correctly (otherwise you're likely to get that blank document with an error message within Chrome).

I want to do mine now but see theres a change since last year regarding the medical aid. It asks if any medical contributions were made by myself or my employer, I select yes, go down to the form and fill everything in there but at code 4005 it asks the amount for something (cant remember now, on the toilet) where do I get that amount?

I am not talking about the question relating to medical expenses that the aid did not pay for, the one just above it.

Will look for it, might have missed it due to the urgent toilet need. It should be under the same code (4005) right?
Omg dude, it's not brain surgery. Why did you think it's easier to post here than just go look yourself?

I am nusy taking a **** and did not want to drag the entire desktop to the toilet. Thanks for the help though

Done and done.

Getting a bit of money back - better than nothing and a damn side better than having to pay in :D

So I just changed my banking details on the system and filed. Selected for Audit => N

I just hope my changed banking details don't get flagged.

You will be flagged for verification. You will have to take certified id copy, id book, proof of residence and proof of bank details as on the efiling system in to your nearest sars branch.

So on the itr12 it keeps asking me for how many RA I've contributed to this year, which is 0 as I'm running through the company's pension fund now. I cannot select 0.
Also the tax calculator doesn't seem to work out the medical aid stuff? As apparently I'm only getting 77c

If I only became a director of a company (started my own company a month ago), I take it I do not need to tick that box right? As this is for last year's assessment?

Thanks

Feck it I am not going to tick it, I have nothing to show for that year of assessment anyway as the company only started a month back.

How do you know if your company has been claiming the tax credits? I don't see any mention of medical aid in the calculator.

I had to change my branch name as for some reason they had it down as Cape Town not Randburg which it has always been.

Done. Do I owe them or they owe me?
it shows:
Net amount refundable under this assessment after allowable credits: -8630.08.(IN RED)
