Submitted all the relevant info and documents on the 01/07/2018.
I phoned and escalated... still haven't received any update.

Thats just crazy

Sitting in the same boat, submitted the 13th and upto now, absolutely nothing.. seems like they have all the time in the world this year..

It does seem that way and they have absolutely no sense of urgency

did you have to submit additional docs to sars for verification, normally once done they sent a completion letter saying that it has been completed, or did you just keep checking your statement

I submitted all my docs on the 7th, and still nothing.

So keeping in mind that this is the first time I am being audited (and no further communication received from SARS), I pulled the my SOA this morning to try and figure out what is going on, I noticed the following on the home screen:

SARS Status - Return - Assessed
Last Status Date: Your Income Tax Return has been assessed and you should receive your Noti......
Documents for Review - Submitted
Documents for Audit - Waiting for Documentation to be Uploaded

So when I phoned in the first time(weeks ago) they advised that they received all the relevant documents.
"We will phone or SMS if we need any additional documentation"...

Phoned in on 01/08/2018 and still no additional documents or info was required, besides that I needed to confirm my address.
And the case has been escalated -- they will phone me and provide me with an update They cannot give me an ETA !?

With that being said, do I upload documents under the audit section it will be exactly the same as what I uploaded for the review section...
I dont really want to make changes.. dont want to delay the process more by uploading or phoning the call center...

So what do I do now?
Do i just wait for them to come back to me, in my mind they have everything they need?

Never been audited mine still shows documents for review submitted no second line yet, have you checked your letters to see what the requirement is, the last thing you want to do is submit the same stuff and have them make you wait another 21 days, the turn around time for an audit is 90 days, if no letter then best to call in and check

Yep. Escalated mine Tuesday. Still not a single change, nothing has been updated or changed, and no communication.

Did my assesment on the 11/07/2018

Got asked for my documents on the same day and submitted them back on the same day.
Received notice that they received it then received my ITA34 Notice of Assessment but my ITA34 shows my refund payment due date as 31/01/2019 :wtf:

That's a generic date, check in a day or two for an updated one, or expect the money in a week or so.
