Submitted my return on the 10th and then uploaded supporting docs.

Status was then "correction filed"

My status changed to "Assessment received” today.

Does anyone know what this means?
It means they are done.

Mine took about 3 days.

Called SARS they advised that 21 working days starts from the day they receive your last supporting docs and then after that they have 7 working days to make payment it truly is a long drawn out process

Probably, yes. Wife had to actually go in, same story with a dude here.

Actually, they have 21 days since giving notice that they have received your documents. Some people wait days even for those.

so after calling today I get told that I have an outstanding return from 2009. There is no IRP5 filed and I don't have any of the documents from that job as it was a temporary sorta thing that I never really kept track of. Either case the company no longer exists, and I doubt I will get an IRP5 or any other documentation from them so in to SARS with an affidavit we go.

Hi have you received any further communication I see my status has also changes to assessment received with today's date where is was showing the 30.07.2018 as the return assessed date. I am really hoping this means they will be paying soon

Seems like that if you escalate the case where they take more than 21 days to finalize a verification, you give them an additional 7 business days to finalize it. For some reason.

Sars requesting proof that I pay my medical aid. They want bank statements to confirm this. I dont pay my own medical aid, my father does and Im 100% sure he will not give me his bank statements.

Any advice?

If your dad pays it, you can't claim it.

Thanks - I had no clue. Thought because its in my name that I could claim it.

Must I contact the call center and let them know??

Sorry not sure how this all works. :-(

I would file a correction on eFiling. Just log on and on your Work Page click under "Request Correction". Do the thing again but don't fill in the medical aid things.

Remember you can always only claim stuff you paid for. I hope they just "let it go" in your sake and you don't have to go in to a branch.

Nothing yet, I think they sill only pay me in 7 working days time.
