SARS E-Filing 2021/22

Any reason that my refund amount doesn't change even when my travel claim amount does?
I made a mistake initially when entering my milage. Left off a digit and now even when I corrected it my calculation stays exactly the same?

Should depend on the % of business /private km, between the 20% or 80% bands

So I did the return in efiling. Did the calc and it said i owe them an amount. Didnt do anything after that.

Now this morning i get mail saying it34 done and they owe me an amount.

So log back in and refresh the calc and it still shows i owe them.

What gives

Did it show negative ? If so , it's what they owe you.

In my experience the system automatically adds them after you submit the ITR12:

It calculates everything in the ITR12 gives a result (of the tax owing) then on the next line it says:
Less:
- Net provisional tax credits [$$$]

and subtracts that from the "result" of the ITR12 for the final result.

:unsure::unsure::unsure:
So my IT34 says that I was not selected for audit or verification but on the efiling website it says my refund is on hold because I was selected for audit.... What now?
Did you ever come to the bottom of this?

My wife got the same... well actually:

Refund Status: Your Income Tax refund for ... is on hold due to your assessment being subject to audit for 2021 tax period(s).

Thanks, checked last year's ITA34 and think you spot on.

Are they going to fix it? My employer hasn't sent out any formal communication yet but my HR did say they have had alot of queries about it.

I have been leading the charge on this issue - mostly because i resigned and not too bothered about annoying the already useless HR Manager.

HR generally don't know anything about taxes. You should be speaking to your company's accounting department.
