SARS E-Filing 2021/22

On mine. It shows “Electronic Refund” under the transactions. And a date for tomorrow. With a balance now of R0.00.

Indicating that they don’t owe me any money since the refund has been processed and is now just awaiting payment I guess or release from the banks etc. that’s how I see it.
I have the same i.e. electronic refund for 09/07/2022.
Filed on 01/07/2022.

Oh I see it now. Thanks!

My payment due date is 2022-07-01. But ended up going through verification which is now complete. The due date hasn't changed though.

Was your banking details, ID and proof of residence required?

Not for verification purposes, just had to submit supporting documentation with regards to some of the claims in my tax return.

What about Dr visits and blood tests that were needed for an operation (no msa only hospital plan) so paid cash and the person is retired? What can one do?

Yes they all qualify but not it will be a portion. A few things to note the patient can be a close family member but the person who paid the bills. Proof of payment must be the tax payer. As long as you have proof of payment and they are in your name submit all medical bills.

Question regarding out-of-pocket medical expenses
I ran out of medical savings sometime last year and ended up using my money to pay for doc fees, medication, etc. Can I claim this or some of it back and if so which code do I use to enter the amount?
2. Would SARS need receipts/invoices of the meds taken and consultation done?

I have been having a lot of out of pocket medical expenses due to crappy medical aid. So what I do is I create an. Excel sheet on which I indicate the amount, date, the provider and even the family member - relation and the name of the supporting document file. Then I total the full amount for the tax year and I put it in the box just below the medical aid cost. Note that they almost always select for audit if you have a lot of out of pocket so receipts and invoices should be ready. For any expenditure that I can’t find the invoice / receipt I don’t add.

What did they say when you spoke to them or what did you need to change?
My SOA just has that 34 in the column and no updates since the 1st ...
They never changed anything, just asked if my bank account was still in use and I confirmed it was and then they asked if I was sure, which I obviously said yes too and then they read me the press release but did say I would be getting my refund shortly.
