SARS eFiling 2022/2023

There were 10+ years when we received nothing. We were stupid not to contribute to RA but on plus side, we eliminated the debt.

I know the feeling, when I started working I didn't bother either. Now the REITS ruin the refund amount.

I got mine as well, for 8pm today.

Got email on Monday for auto assesment, went in to see it and knew it was correct and went out. Checked last night my statement of account and it showed 1-8-2023 payment date.

My tax affairs are always straight forward due to one income source and all other details get filled automatically anyways.

I have no idea why it doesn't get auto-assessed. Maybe due to variable income being a contractor ?

Doubt it has anything to do with that, I'm also not being auto-assessed even though I get a normal salary and pay for medical aid, nothing else, and yet I don't get auto assessed. My brother on the other hand that has a bit more going on with his tax affairs got auto assessed and have money in the bank already. **** knows how it actually works, maybe just random luck or something.

Refund also in. I tried to add my OUTA donations but it seems they just ignored the one tax return where I took their assessment and added it in. guess I didnt follow the correct process. now to decide whether its worth the effort....

Got mine also today. Auto assessment which i didn't even accept. Also much less than previous years.

I was also auto-assessed and received my refund today. However my return is not 100% correct, it's missing all my local dividends (which have already been taxed), so I will edit it and submit it on 7 July anyway. Obviously shouldn't affect the refund I've already received.
