Tax Directives are normally issues with regards to Pension transfers or other such movements. Did you or they move pension stuff? Thats why its telling you to contact the fund.I get this message when I try to submit my tax return, but I can't see where I can see this tax directive. Anyone know where on the website this option is?

Yea pretty soon you'll receive the letter from SARS requesting all of your personal information, they use verifying your bank account as an excuse to update their personal info about you, expect to be asked for a nice picture of you holding your ID as well as proof of residence etc.Just got off the phone with SARS. The August 1 date is the date any money owed to them is suppost to be paid to them. There is also a second grace date August 31 up to which late payments would be interest free.Is there anyone here that did their tax on Monday and their soa shows payment due 1 August but have received it today or yesterday?

When directives are issued in Jan/Feb, but payment/transfer only made after Feb, this problem arises. Insurance Company making the payment/transfer must cancel the directive and issue a new one in the new year. The key is that the Directive and the IRP5 must be in the same year, otherwise you have this problem. Most of the situations where SARS are now requesting returns to be submitted for past years (2007 - 2019 especially) refers to the fact that they have now picked up tax directives in these years, hence are requesting submission of returns. HAd friend who had a request for 2009. Sanlam was very good in getting her a copy of the IRP5.I get this message when I try to submit my tax return, but I can't see where I can see this tax directive. Supplied this plus my cavity search results yesterday.Yea pretty soon you'll receive the letter from SARS requesting all of your personal information, they use verifying your bank account as an excuse to update their personal info about you, expect to be asked for a nice picture of you holding your ID as well as proof of residence etc.
You can actually change the banking details on two separate taxpayer profiles at the same time and one will be instantly verified, while another will require a whole life history to verify, it's because they lack updated information for you and use this opportunity to get it out of you.

I'll probably then have to contact the pension fund administrators. I left the company after more than 40 years of service as of the 1st of April. That's in the new tax year, so someone must have screwed up somewhere. When directives are issued in Jan/Feb, but payment/transfer only made after Feb, this problem arises. Not normally. Money is only due post tax season, I've dragged mine out until then when I had to pay in. Think it was Dec or Jan was cutoff for payments but certainly not August. The August 1 date is the date any money owed to them is suppost to be paid to them. There is also a second grace date August 31 up to which late payments would be interest free.
My refund was in my bank account this morning.
April this year or last? This year, there should be no tax directive for the current tax period under review, unless they f***** up.I'll probably then have to contact the pension fund administrators.
