Anyway.... my solution. Since you are too stubborn to use a real OS that deals with REAL WORLD scenarios, why dont you do it manually?
ROFL.. so PDF forms is what the "real world" uses? Funny.. I was quite sure that FNB uses HTML forms for online banking/registering.. Oh and just about every other reputable organisation that requires one to fill out online forms?
Or what, must I spend R1000+ for a copy of Windows plus some more money for the needed antivirus to ensure that the much better OS can actually go online without the worry that it will compromise the personal information I wish to transmit across the net?

Then spend a couple of hours setting it all up?

And that just to fill out my tax returns?

Does SARS have shares in Microsoft?
That is how they cater for EVERYONE, once you manage to poke your head out your Linux bubble? It does mean you cant use efiling
But as I pointed out much earlier, they discriminate against paper users by giving you much less time to fill out the forms. It's not fair of them to make a service which only works for some people and then add all sorts of benefits for them.
or alternatively go to an internet cafe.
Nope, most internet cafe's (and yes I have used them before) do not allow users to install software on their machines .. so unless they happen to have Acroreader installed you're out of luck. - This also shows how the system is unfair to those who might only be able to access the web from internet cafe's.
FYI redarrow.. dont know if it will help you.. but Google docs can save documents as PDF`s.. not sure if it allows you to edit them.
Thanks, but the problem is further enhanced in that Acroreader has to upload the filled out form back to the sarsefiling website as there is no manual "upload filled out form button" - Further entrenching my statement that the service is poorly designed.
