For both my wife and I, we got our refunds in less then 4 days after submitting via e-filing.
My one was actually a bit complicated, still involving an outstanding return from 2007 when I had my own business. 15 mins on the phone to the call centre and they loaded it on my e-filing profile, and cheers, done.
SARS is really efficient. Wish we could say that for the rest of the government......
