I have a digital logbook, backed by my tracking company.

I would usually mark the travel either private or business.

Now SARS have opted not to accept my logbook, they want me to specify what I have done on each trip. However the space is limited, how detailed do they want it?

Would just writing meeting, consulting other one-word descriptions work?

I usually put things like: Customer. Collection. Meeting. Not very detailed required, but that is before you piss them off.

Why do you submit the entire logsheet? I just state my total business km when I do my efiling.

As detailed as it needs to be for you to give up and stop claiming the deduction.

To ensure they're also having fun, give the logbook to an AI and ask it to come up with a plausible paragraph for each trip. Then print it at 8pt, scan it in sideways and send that to them.

Independent Contractor, not sure what Independent Contractors do, but if you a sex worker, this is the type of detail you should record:

Business - Visit client premises for ladies night, perform a strip show and returned home. One way 30 kms.

Business - Visit client premises for a lemon party. Performed and returned home. 20km one way.

Business - visit doctor for IOD, due to lack of lubrication. One way 8km.

Business - supply run at Adult world for lubrication, one way 12km

Private- went to church to confess my sins. One way 5km.
