We don't LOVE it - it's slow but it's uncapped

I am really amazed, though, how many professionals use WISPs - considering how little they advertise.

We are back on Dialup. Telkom doesn't want to give us ADSL (due to cable theft risks in our area) and 3G from all providers in our area does not work (if the wind blows it blows away all reception).

Slow as hell, but at least we can work.

Totally irrelevant. When you apply for ADSL they inform you they no longer provide Internet access in our area. Telkom has blocked further installations of landlines in the area as well. People can now only get the wireless phones via 8ta, BUT you have to sign an agreement waiving your rights to apply for a fixed line with Telkom in future.

Ek wonner hoekom die verbruik van ADSL onder IT bekwames so hoog is?

Miskien het dit iets met die stabiliteit van die infrastruktuur te doen. Dit is volgens my baie meer stabiel as mobiele data soos 3G en LTE.

Effective Measure gathers demographics data about local Internet users through online surveys. In August, the company conducted 173,935 surveys on South African Internet users.

Guessing most "IT professionals" run Adblock or similar and thus are not exposed to Effective Measures, personally I only respond to surveys run by my special interest sites.
