Satellite Broadband comming in MARCH

They're mad at that price!..., and NO, i wouldn't want to share EVER!.

There are SO many fantastic new technologies coming in 2007 to aid us in our broadband problems... didnt we hear similar things lastyear?

Not a very good idea to get stuck in a 4 year contract for anything really. Especially since we don't know what Neotel will have to offer.

Satellite systems is known for their reliability and stability.

LMAO. 700ms latency, solar flairs, general bad throughput.... Been there, done that, got the tshirt.

Satelites will never see me again. Their price (even if it's bi-directional) are absurd. It's nothing more than trying to sell off extra capacity as all the operators move to international fiber because of the lack satellite links fail to fufill...
 
TO all adsl's and surfers up there i want u to welcome me.

i have been hunting for the otherchoice and played around with my decoder.
Guess what i got ? .multichoice( IRDTO ?) has put religious channels .They
are VwAFR,Day ,LoveW TKC .......Insig , Judah ,Islam etc - they are simmppplly boring for a person like me who has just put morals in my pocket.

The C-band offers some hope or does it ? Just a check in the streets of my city i found the LNB for the C band to be close to R 600. not to mention the
dish ( He! He!) . I bet somebody does not want me to see the other side.
Any thoughts ?
 
Dude who in their right mind charges internet costs that amounts to the monthly payment of a 3 series BMW :)

It IS true that when you do not know what you are talking about that you should shut your trap.

If you have visited the official site (where you obviously does not have permission to view) you would noticed that the price is for a corporate company and the price in the public market, that is obviously the idiotic critics here, will be like about R180 per month on a wi-fi basis which of course entails the minimum equipment needed as most of the new computers are issued with. Four year contracts are only for those connected on a 1 on 1 base added with a high point or base station.

Thus, please do not comment on something that you have no Idea of. It just show you how stupid you are or is it IS ?? Whatever.

I won't take satellite internet on any time - due to the interference caused by bad weather or sunspots.

Also, the satellite might be knocked out of orbit by aliens :D

Nah, I'll take fiber ADSL any time.

Also, a 4-year contract is not a good idea.
