Saw (franchise)

So I very recently re-watched all 7 (seven) Saw movies from 2004-2010.

I streamed the 1st 3 on ShowMax; they only had the 1st 3; then the remaining 4 I got via TPB.

Previously I only watched Saw 1; 2; 6 & 7.

Like all movie franchise Saw 1 (2004) started off on a high; IMDB rating of 7.7 (!) & then like always gets a progressively worse score. I honestly still enjoyed them; all of them.It's way more "deeper" than what it seems & the unfair title of "torture porn" that it gets.

Looking back after watching all 7 I genuinely think it's good franchise.

For my the "good" part comes from the way the entire franchise links up rather well.

Take a step back & you see how all 7 movies tell 1 big story.

The other selling point for me is "recap" at the end of every movie. I just like the way it's done. Lest we not forget Tobin Bell (Jigsaw); is a damn good villain.

This makes want to watch the saw movies and final Destination movies too. I watch like the first 3 of each, then stopped. Fond memories of watching these with my then GF now wife. Hiring DVD's was so much fun

Watched Jiggsaw this weekend, was a good installment in the series. Always felt saw 4 - 7 were very B Grade, Jiggsaw feels like 1 - 3. Worth a watch for sure!

Jigsaw (2017) 7/10

Paid 55 ZAR. As a Saw fan I enjoyed this eighth installment of the franchise. John Kramer back in action. I won't give the spoiler as to how. Lekker twist at the end. Still gory but not as gory as 6 & 7. A fan should definitely give it a watch.
