Scandisk For Windows 7

Hi all,

I'm looking for a good application that can be run from in Windows environment and do full or short scandisk's.
I've never liked Microsoft's Scandisk, I need something more detailed.
Any suggestions.

I know I can use the Ultimate Boot CD etc and run from the CD but I want something specifically to run from within Windows while I'm busy with other stuff.

There is a couple of good scanning applications on Hiren's Boot CD. You can mount and try some in windows. Most of the low-level apps only run in dos.

I actually used this app a while back - if you install it and run it, it had so many issues - I hope it's been fixed.

Tuneup Utilities has a good one built, but it does take hours to finish - very thorough.


You could also do a quick scan.
