Western science started more than 600 years agoAll very well and good trying to rid the university of Euro-centrism (before you all jump on me for this I'd wager most of you know a damn-sight more about Europe/great Europeans than you do about the Middle-East, Asia and South America).
But with science you'd ultimately converge on the same thing given enough time. I sure as hell am not going to toss out 600 years of scientific knowledge and start over from basic experiments and philosophy just to come to the same answers. The best thing to do with science is take it and run with it, contribute and eventually leave your own mark on scientific history.

Why even go to University. They are clearly geniuses already.

You are only looking at one side of science. What about the wizards...I mean chemists?Yeah it's it's pretty much irrelevant/mostly nonsense before then. A physics mechanics textbook will have maybe one or two sentences on the Ancient Greeks before kicking off with Newton's laws.

Just remember: these people are winning.
Not so funny then is it?
