Are you praying that ICASA allocate you spectrum in the same range you're using already?
 
Screamer on Google DNS ... can I use OpenDNS?

Hi,

BTW Screamer is working really well, apart from few disconnects sometime lol.

Screamer currently use Google DNS and it seems to be issued from the tower (East Rand, at Manny's?). No matter where I insert OpenDNS servers when I look at ipconfig /all I see Google is listed first and OpenDNS second... so I assume OpenDNS will only be used if both Google servers go down...

I am using the automatic OpenDNS IP update tool... but its not effective as primary DNS seems to go through Google and all OpenDNS filtering is then skipped.

Is there something that I can do to make OpenDNS functional?

HI does any 1 use WiMax in the mayville area ?

Telkom said there is no signal there, but when i look on there coverage site, the hole Pretoria is covered.
 
not sure, cba to check. Probably tho, my lag is insane to wow @ 2k + latencies again :( <------ sadface screamer, you guys "were" doing so well...
 
It is SERIOUSLY annoying!!!

Last night there were no issues, now tonight I wanna continue in ICC25 but getting latency ranging between 3 and 5000ms

WTF Screamer!!!
 
Any news on a resolution ? Or did we miss a e-mail saying it was maintenance ?
 
This is consistent with my experience over the last 20 months.

Seriously though - Screamer has a lot going for it but they should explicitly exclude subscribers that want to play online games.
 
I sadly have to agree, although at this point they are the only viable option available to me :(
 
Can anyone confirm if we're still being routed through the as6453?

Can't really get anything from support at the moment.
 
Guess the tracert out to europe just looked really strange last night when i checked

Confirmed....still broken. Nothing changes......

EDIT: using my WTFast account makes wow playable at least

To be fair, my conenction was back to normal from around 7ish. I still would like to know what the problem was though ?
 
Hi Guys

There was an upstream international problem on the evening of the 18th. You should all be fine now though.
I will try and post any problems here as they happen as well.
 
Anyone else getting high latencies again ? At current 4 - 5k lat in wow :(
