How's the connection if you bypass the router completely and plug cable directly into Alvarion and your PC? This way you'll at least figure out if the problem is with the Wimax connection or with your router setup.Hi, new here. my estate is currently rolling out screamer wimax to every household in the estate. got my yesyerday, was pretty impressed, capped my 100mg, that is free every month. So I decided to sign up. took a 10Gb cap. Bough my self a Belkin N1 wireless router to use with my mac. here start the problems. if a coonect the alvarion unit to the belkin router it doesnt work, it needs settings that i dont have. but if i connect the Alvarion to the linksys router provided, then the linksys router to my belkin router, it works but the connection speed is horrible. ping 658ms on speedtest.net. connection gets fast for a couple seconds then and again, but just slow. whether i connect via wifi or ethernet to my belkin router. Could all this connections be slowing down the net? Can i use the belkin router directly with the alvarion? pls help if possible. I'm lost here. The tech said he can only come on monday. Wanted to test the net during the weekend to see how it is.
@Darksun PM me your account no and I will get the login link to your bandwidth monitor sent to you.
Howzit - is the screamer bandwidth monitor still in testing or available yet for all screamer users?
Hi
It is 99% ready for all clients. You should soon get a notification on how to access it.
Borrels - Well, if i run the wimax through the supplied linksys router the speed is ok, average ping is 150ms - 120ms. I get no internet if i plug the Alvarion straight to the Mac. So I'm guessing its the router to router problem.
anyone know where i can get the settings to setup the belkin router??? like the DNS addresses and stuff.
Im just looking forward to a stable , decent latency to the wow-europe servers , its not so much the throughput but the latency, and from what ive heard i should have made this move a long time ago ..
