Screamer WiMax

Well my ventrillo is pinging at whooping 5k ms, what going on???

my VT is fine tonight. about 200ms
but wow latency is 2000ms

Lucky you, my connection just died, getting timeouts on everything, cant do a thing :(

Mine is also useless, can't even log into ea.com to play Bad Company 2 beta. Browsing to international sites is non-existent.

Can't play MMO's due to constant disconnects, can't play strategy games for more that 15 minutes without a disconnect and can't play any FPS due to constant lag and disconnects. I feel like i'm back on a 33.6 modem.

Well it looks like most international browsing/connectivity is stuffed. Probably more maintenance that I didn't get notified about, well I hope so.........

Maybe I should bo back to my old faithfull 33.6

why do you guys @ screamer have to break something in order to fix it. Please howzit can i get an answer from you ! Must i suck up this crock of utter rubbish that all will be well in one week ? If not let me know and i can save my money on paying another months WOW subscription.

EDIT: My rant was started by stupidly high latencies again today 2000 - 12000ms.

I waited for over a year to get it fixed ... one week it works then it is poor for the next three. Moving house in a couple of months then I hope to put all of this behind me.

Looks like I might get some Telkom joy at some stage, just need to get a cable from the Telkom box to my house and I should be able to get DSL.

I'll be in the same scenario in the not too far distant future. As much as i hate telscum, i will ensure ADSL is installed before i move in. Tbo screamer has just made me scream since day1 :(

Well last nights issues were upstream Neotel issues. Telkom has been having non stop issues on SAT3/SAFE for the past couple of weeks. Will somebody please make it stop, all I want to do is get home and chill out playing some games and I end up more stressed than when I left work.

Maybe board games are the answer!

well here is hoping that tonight will be a good night for gaming ;)

okay just finished raiding since 9 pm. I had one 10 min time period where i had some major lag issues. Other than that everything has been clock work, as it should be. (credit to where credit is due, i hope it stays this way)

logged on last night did some dungeon running in my alt for about 2hrs no disconnects and latency was hovering around 400ms to about 600ms
tried a raid in ICC had same latency. so all in all was a good night for wow last night :)

hope tonight is the same :)

I had the same expereince, 10 minutes of extreme latency, I checked and it was on the wireless network somewhere. Other than that I must say it was pretty stable and pings were good. I hope it stays like this.

Im still experiencing bad latency issues, and not getting replies from Howzit, neels or any of the guys :(

Jeepers. Officially ground to a halt on my end...

i knew my praise would be short lived. Screamer network going on and off since 9:20pm. I think i must just give up on gaming like "wow4life" did and wait untill my lease expires to get a telscum connection........

Tower is dead... fail.

And here I just spent my night fixing a server. Do Screamer engineers think they are too good for after-hours work?
