In the long run, I hope it does help others. This was not related to the network issues - that IMHO is a losing battle with new ISP's, and honestly if I look at Internet Solutions ~3 years ago were more than 5 times worse.

This relates to the fact that Screamer's staff were screwing me around and refusing to bill me at the new lower rates, and ignoring my emails trying to resolve the matter.

I don't mind the network issues, as long as I'm not paying R120/GB for them...
 
last night was horrible for raiding :(
got really pissed off. was hitting 6k latency at one stage with contstant disconnects this was from about 10pm or so.
could hardly do the gunship battle as well as Saurfang. trying to keep those sunders up then bang DC.. connect DC. connect DC.
i hope tonight is a better night.
 
I dont know why we not put more pressure on the CEO to get this latency issue sorted out, I was told it will take 2 weeks to probably get it sorted. Not like I not heard that one before. I am tired of waiting.

USELESS tonight ... forgot to start the proxy program , i could barely stay connected in orgrimmar. 1800ms in game at the moment , this is ****ing ridiculous.
 
Seriously - don't bother.

I tried for over a year to use Screamer's connection for playing Wow and it just isn't worth it. The "best" outcome was that I stopped playing Wow ...

On several occassions I was told that the needs of gamers are of a lower priority. This annoyed the hell out of me as (a) gaming is a legitimate use of a connection (b) nowhere did it say in my contract that gaming is a low priority (c) I used the connection for business reasons as well.
 
last night i was able to play avg latency for me was about 600ms.
few random lag spikes but never lasted longer than a minute or so.
Will see how it goes tonight in ICC 10 again.
 
I am tired of fighting with them seriosly. I have emailed Gavin for an answer to this and hope he will reply, cause the state of their internet they provding is unacceptable.

Even my iBurst is two times faster and 100% stable. I would recommend people to go iBurst or iBurst Wimax than Screamer Wimax any day.

I raid on iBurst( with their MTNBusiness static IP address) with latency of 300-400ms and its completely stable with no disconnects or lag spikes at all.

On Screamer, latency spikes constantly between 600ms up to 3kms every few minutes during the evening. Huge packet loss on their network is also causing disconnects in raiding in WoW. I play like first 15 minutes on Screamer and then have to switch to iBurst cause its unplayable.

Tbh, Last night was the first time in a long time that my conenction worked at acceptable levels in a very long time. Highest latency i had was 650ms with one or two lag spikes between 20:30pm - 24:00. I hope this stroke of luck lasts longer than one night.....
 
used to have iburst will never ever go back to them. thier accoutns department is really really bad.
even with an external ariel i had a **** connection with iburst
 
Well atm my iBurst connection is alot more reliable than Screamer Wimax....
 
Dont have Screamer WiMax anymore (could not afford it any longer)but had a good connection for the last few weeks it was running.:D
 
well not sure about the rest of you, but my screamer connection has been working okay since friday. Sure a few lag spikes here and there but nothing unmanageble. I hope this keeps up.
 
We all know gaming on the weekend rocks on screamer .. the rest of the week is just fail.
