Screamer WiMax

The nerve of these Screamer people ! Everyone can note my frustrations from my various posts, Friedrich the installer was to come to my place today to resolve my issues, never ever pitched, never took my calls, when he did, he noted that he was way busy attending to other matters, despite the fact we had an appointment. Nice hey, this from a representative of Screamer - seems this ideolgy stems throughout the company. No calls or emails are returned. I understand the MD is Craig, I emailed him as well, never got a response - this now from the MD , wow ! amazing service.

I received a call this afternoon from a Deon who noted there was a solution to my problem, i gave him an alternate number to call as I was in meetings, never did call.

When I called the helpdesk this eve requesting to chat to him, the call was answered by a Melvin or Mervin, I noted to him who I was, Deon refused to speak to me and noted he had nothing to do with my case and I should speak to Friedrich., Wow, amazing service hey!!!!!!!! The nerve of these people !

I called Friedrich thereafter, he doesn't answer the phone ..........

The individual Melvin or Mervin noted that he can't assist and doesn't want to be party to what is going on ............. wow !!!!

People, what don't you get, I am a customer, I paid for a service that I am not getting, yes at times its up and down, that was not the assurance I was given, i have all the right to bitch and moan, nag and make your life a misery ................ I have no intention to make your life easy by cancelling - I will in time to come, when i feel the time is right, in the interim you will service me for what I paid for !!! As a consumer I have the right to a response and fulfillment of my expectations

Friedrich was very quick to take my cash , what about my service now, what about my gateway that I paid for .....

I haven't come across an organization that frankly doesn't care about customer service, don't they know the competitive nature of their industry - seems not , i guess they should all go on customer service satisfaction training !

People looking for broadband, look elsewhere, nothing coming from Screamer , not even a courtesy call

Hi arj,

Its pathetic. These guys are as stupid as they come! Oh and frederich also still owes me a gateway that i paid for. So now they are not only stealing customers but also stealing from customers. Way to go screamer and frederich. O and also plz train your techs to properly handle clients. Frederich gets bitchy with all your customers including me and arj. You screamer are poepholle!

i doubt u gonna have joy, i hve been having issues since i subscribed, see my posts, i also need the service for work - they franly don't give a damn -------- my previous posts said i will bear, can't any longer - will be cancelling soon - will ease their burdens and my frustrations -

Back to disconnects and timeouts every 5 min to Helderkruin Tower. :(

Also having very slow internet and disconnects on the Bonaero Park / Pomona tower , Howzit , what is going on ?
Checked my reception params and the conenction looks fine.

If you do a prolonged ping test you will probably have noticed some packet loss on the Neotel bandwidth. This has now been resolved and should be back to normal. If it is still playing up PM me.

I still have a problem and have PM'd you
I dont need a prolonged ping , max speed = 10KBPS on a 512 account .

sample UK site, local pings seem ok.

Can we get some form of update please ? Or is this a case of oh well , wait for business hours ?

Yes International sites down... When I called again at 5.30pm was told that Dawnview tower had a problem and they were checking it out... MMMMM it seems as if international sites are not connecting.. Is this a Screamer problem or the provider to Screamer... Screamer Please... We need this to work... as this is our lifeline to completing our Jobs..

Screamer are treading a very steep slippery slope, and are definitely on their way out. They cancelled their capped and uncapped ADSL services several months ago, due to poor performance of the product, and high admin costs. They sold their userbase to BCSnet, their upstream provider at the time, if I'm not mistaken, Their Wimax product is now also doomed - they've been found to be illegally using Wimax spectrum that belongs to Sentech, in a shady and shaky deal they struck with Sentech a few years ago.

Cell C should hit Gauteng in mid-November, according to Cell C themselves. I'd wait it out until Cell C arrives, and then make the switch, if your area has coverage. If you area doesn't have coverage, you might have to wait a bit longer, but you WILL get coverage. Cell C have promised to cover 67% of the population by mid-2011, and 97% of the population by end 2011.

Whatever you do, make sure you don't sign any contracts, with whichever provider you choose to switch to. Things are changing so fast, you'll kick yourself for signing a 24 month contract. The Cell C 12 month contracts are worthwhile though. Great value!
