Got this email from Seacom yesterday.

Are they having trouble selling their product?

The Broadband Experience

The exhibition we will be hosting at Nelson Mandela Square, Sandton City from 14 - 18 October 2009. The exhibition will give the general public an oppotunity to get up, close and personal with the Seacom cable. It is a way of showing the public that the cable is real and operational. Exhibitors will use the Seacom connectivity on offer to demonstrate the speed and the true broadband experience that can be afforded to the end user now that the Seacom cable is operational.

What kind if speeds will the demo have?

yeh, speed and a experience that ends at Mtunzini.

I think the point of the exhibition is to make us experience something we wont experience soon from the luxury of our homes...

ROFL!!

The public can experience something they will never ever experience in their lifetime again for one day only.

SEACOM - we let you experience something you will most probably never experience again.

The cable is operational?? Could have fooled me

Been operational for a while already. The problem is that the 1st tier providers are still thinking about how to best milk the public for the biggest piles of moola... IS has already on numerious occasions said that it will not drop prices, but enable them to provide more 'value added services'

I know I was being sarcastic ;)

Seacom is here!!!! YAY!!!! but we're still being fed thru the SAT3 super narrow pipe, I wonder why, maybe its because seacom partnered with Nevertel, the telecoms provider that never provides.

I bet some corporates out there are already reaping the benefits of seacom, as with anything neotel, its always corporates first, then 20 months later the consumers.

i dont want exhibits. i want damn cheap uncapped broadband.

...and I want a virgin greek goddess, but thats not gonna happen any time soon either :p

come to think of it... "Spartan"...hmmmm... got a sister by any chance ;)

So, this thing is happening today. To whoever is going, Enjoy!!
