SEACOM downtime hits ADSL users (13 September 2012)

Downtime on the SEACOM system has once again left local ADSL consumers without international connectivity

Correction, Telkom makes use of a selection of cables including SAT3, SAFE and Eassy (which btw seems not remotely close as bad as Seacom)

Having a problem on Afrihost - trying to pull down some stuff to a client's hosted server there, and it keeps dying. Pretty bad they let their premium hosting clients fall foul to what should only affect the ADSL users.

Seacom doesn't just serve South Africa - so it's not too much of a stretch to imagine that they would host their website elsewhere...
