I have a MWEB uncapped product.. use it at home, its not a business account.

Everything local, including this forum, loads blazing fast.

Everything overseas, is totally screwed, takes like 1/2 an hour to load a page.
The following doesn't work for me:
Google (very slow)
Wikipedia.org (very slow but loads after hitting F5 several times)

If it is proven to be indeed true that as a home user, I am getting the shaft and MWEB business accounts have bandwidth to overseas sites, I will take MWEB to task.

today sites are very uneven: google slow, datingbuzz, news24 slow, facebook slow. cricingo fast, mybroadband fast, reddit fast.

I've only had this package for a month, but I have to agree based on my experience.

No offence, but how old are you?

- Anyone can take out a business ADSL account
- Use Bing if Google is too slow
- Why would you wait half an hour for a page to load?
- Obviously business users will get preferential treatment. They pay much more than you do, and possibly need it more.
- You won't be taking Mweb to task. Option one is stay and option two is leave. Mweb Guy is available if you need a shoulder to cry on.

You could take 5 minutes and get yourself up and running on an Axxess 5GB account. Oh wait, I forgot it takes you 12 hours to change your router settings.

Following Bryn's example, I've obtained both an Openweb and Axxess trial accounts, but after putting them into the router settings and getting 'connection established' (no user/pass error), I still don't have any internet access.

Any ideas?

That's totally irrelevant :/

I don't get it - I have a 2Mbps MWEB uncapped home account and I have been streaming Hulu and Youtube all weekend. So it seems their redundancy via other cable systems seems to be working. I wish it were better though.

weird seeing as on 2mbps uncapped and cant even open hulu

All weekend, international sites have been ***. Gmail, FB, etc. MWEB uncapped. A friend across town is also enduring the same, and he works high up in Naspers...

I had issues with the Axxess account that were resolved by leaving the router off for 10 minutes.

It just doesn't seem like I'm conversing with an adult.

Try Hola unblocker for Firefox or Chrome;) It deals with that "US only" rubbish.

But I must say various other services are all over the place, I hope MWEB divest more in to WACS and EASSY to reduce the reliance on Seacom for bulk traffic.
