Seacom is down, affecting international Internet traffic, reports Mweb

haha, I guess this is one time, we are happy for Afrihost's move to MTN Business! :D

Mweb / Cybersmart/ Webafrica all reporting issues:

What's more of a fail is that that website is hosted in Germany, so SA users can't access it.

Yup - time to seriously consider switching away from MWEB. Minimal disruption obviously means no international sites at all.

What is the point of redundancy if international barely works at all?

I've been with Mweb for some time now but I've noticed that they constantly having problems. On top of that it's just about impossible to get in contact with them, especially when it's urgent . Their customer service is almost on par with Telkom

I have a capped account with Afrihost as well, I'm using that account at the moment, and speeds are great. Thinking of canceling my Mweb uncapped account giving Afrihost business uncapped a try

Looks good on MWEB now. I had slow browsing up until about 10 minutes ago.
