Seacom is down

I just hope that they will sort this out today!

FAT chance. they haven't even diagnosed the cause of the problem. i'm picturing a somali vessel pulling into port with a fresh load of copper for sale.

Once again I'm grateful for WebAfrica prepaid! Excellent backup for when SEACOM fails.

I thought it was an optic fibre cable?

Minor technicality that if you've got an AK47 in your face. If teh pirate says its copper then its copper.

But it only works once. Then you make sure not to be near them again. Limited market opportunity for the pirate.

confirmed! - due to monopolies assisted by AT&T

Why does your country not do something about it? Seriously, everytime I log on to this website I am always reading posts of people have the strangest problems I have ever heard of. When i was in Africa for 2 months, I could not even log on properly for weeks on end even though I had a 4mbps package. Very ridiculous.

Bring my WOW server here and I wouldnt care about Int bandwidth.

and this + 9002. enough trolling thru mybb leads me to believe (and from personal experience) that its better to pay more for a quality service that is 99% up, than to keep those other ISP's afloat :p

<stirstir>

to be fair, its not their fault because they didnt pay off the somali pirates in time, I mean ffs, its the world cup hey
