You guys really need to look at the sources of your data.
The pirates DID delay the cable. This was announced at a press conference a couple of months back. They thought they could make up the delays but it seems now that they were not able to.
But lets be realistic - a 4 weeks delay on a project of this size is quite normal. For Africa that is in fact very good
The cable is there - it has been laid. There are a number of journos who've seen it in person. It is currently being tested and there are a number of operators that are busy laying fibre to the landing station as we speak.
Why all the negativity??
You're right. This is africa, so 1st of November it is....

For a project like this to come in so close to schedule is really great. We have been talking about submarine cables for like 8 years now, and this is the only one to land in such a short time. Such a small delay is forgivable. I for one am not complaining.
Imminent guys!!!!!!!!
i think when duke nukem forever is finally released we will still be paying through *******s for bandwidth.
