Saw the flash progress indicator at SEACOM's website and thinking it's an awesome and simplistic way of letting people know how the project is progressing :D

This is very cool... I like the boat thats in the middle of no where... haha.

Seacom is keeping us in the loop whereas no one else is... can't wait!

Ye, I vote for Seacom to sell directly to us as well. :D They seem to be doing everything right so far.. unfortunately they'll just sell to Telkom and Neotel for us.

ok, so lets all put in cash for a 155MB line, and share it between us ha ha, im up for it, unfortunatly how on earth are we gonna run it from the station to our houses:(

Won't anyone be able to buy from them directly? Neotel is just operating the landing station here. EG: Axxess buys int. bandwidth form Seacom and pipes it direct to your truly via ADSL.

I see they update it regularly...looks like they are giving the exact positions of the ships. 7 Ships in total

I hope they have taken precautions to prevent the ships getting hijacked off the coast of Somalia.

Love to take a tour on one of these ships...could be quite interesting

I was actually quite close to doing just that. I'm sitting with a metre long undersea optic fibre cable, well , part of it at least, right next to me. Unfortunately things didn't turn out that I could go. From what the guys have told me, it is quite interesting and an adventure.
