I fell in love with Western Digital when I purchased my first Raptor drive & still prefer a WD in my pc.

Just recently I took out my notebook's Seagate Momentus 2.5'' drive and slapped in a WD ScorpioII 2.5'' 7200rpm drive....my Vista Business is absolutely FLYING!! Love WD. :)

A Raptor is 10,000 RPM, you were probably comparing it to *another brand* 5400/7200RPM drive(s).

The Momentus was probably 5400RPM.

Says nothing for WD...

Yeah, funny Seagate didn't have any 10000rpm drives back then for home use....do they have now? WD always first with innovation.

It does. Their Scorpio 7200rpm notebook drives are very good. ;)

You're comparing technically superior (i.e. higher RPM, more expensive) drives to technically inferior (i.e. lower RPM, less expensive) drives. It's comparing apples and oranges.
