Hi All
I want to buy second hand tablet on olx,is it wise buying sth like a tab as second hand? I can't justify why I need a brand new one since I can be a lil careless so I want to buy sth that won't cause me a leg and arm,my collegue is using samsung galxaxy tab 10.1 P5100 I am thinking of getting one from olx,saw it at R3000 i think its a good bargain cause the owner hardly used it,what do you think?

Would you buy it? When buying a used tablet, besides scratched screen what else would you look for before paying? Things to look out for? I am also considering getting a router from 8.ta the R1200 3G router, what you think think of the router?

Please advice accordingly,olx demos & 8.ta router.

Howzit,

I bought Asus Transformer TF300T tablet 2nd hand, was in perfect condition and i got it for half the price, so yes, from my experience i would say its a good choice.
Have a look at www.carbonite.co.za , a lot of better tablets going for around the same price and if its from a trusted member then you know what you are getting.

Ja. Why not? Try to get a receipt if you can to prove the date of purchase for warranty issues.

Bought iPad 2 16gb off Gumtree for R2500 was in perfect condition.
Bought iPad 3 16gb 3G off bidorbuy, verified seller for R4500.

Make sure you meet the seller face to face, abort if there's anything fishy .

I prefer to meet at a public place, such as a petrol station with plenty of security cameras

True, I really took a chance buying from guys I never met, especially the Gumtree deal when I bought my first iPad 2.
The iPad 3 was from verified seller on bidorbuy so at least had protection of R3000 if it was a scam.

But don't think I'll ever buy off the shelf when there are so many second hand quality items out there.
