Hi guys, Placed an order on 2021/10/07, receive the package this morning. Packaging was done properly, and communication was good. So from my side I would buy again. I ordered a Unifi Dream Machine Pro, with shipping it amounted to about 1K more expensive but with the stock shortage there was no other way. So happy customer

Just for the sake of consistency... We ordered another shipment of goods from Senetic and same great service and prompt shipping.

Ordered on Saturday and received on Thursday.

Don't buy from them, they are not the Authorized Distributor of any products

Some products do but a lot have a single distro which doesn't give 2 shits about the end user.

I will admit that I am slightly biased in that I got screwed over by a distro who refused to cover my Logitech warranty because they said the warranty starts when the retail shop bought the headset not when I bought it, so I effectively didn't have a warranty because it was on the store shelf for the duration of the warranty.
Contacted Logitech directly and they shipped me a replacement from Europe.

So yeah, my stance is that local warranty is spotty at best depending on the product, so why wouldn't I take the upfront saving from importing.
Local distros are no better than cartels that hold all the cards and tell you to take a hike when you need support.

I will always support places like Wootware that import their own brands and handle support themselves because at least they give a crap about the end user and their imported brands are priced much better than local distro brands.

Senetic is not an Authorized Ubiquiti®Distributor, they are just resellers, please check the Authorized Ubiquiti®Distributors.

In the case of Ubiquiti, there are 4 distributors to choose from and I am pretty sure not all of them are going to screw their customers over.

Would hardly construed this as ignorant, its basic economics. Obviously it's always good to have local competition as that does actually create better value to consumers. In the case of Core, that's on Apple as its probably their strategy to have a single distributor. The reason why certain products may be cheaper by import is because they circumvent all approvals, import taxes etc which are borne by local companies. So while you are getting your 'better consumer value' ultimately the money that you spend off shore is never injected back into the SA economy which has a huge knock on effect.

Some local distros are greedy that's why consumers are importing, Look at Gigabyte GPU's locally, the distro is making massive margin, if it wasn't for Wootware importing their own brands we would be royally screwed.

Also no, they don't avoid taxes to be cheaper, I've imported a few things from Amazon and they charge all the relevant taxes at checkout.
If Amazon can ship an item from the USA to my door and charge all the needed import taxes at checkout all while still being cheaper, then why would I not buy from them?

You are right, the import products do not have a warranty, I struggle with some products I purchased from @senetic. @scoop was willing to assist, however, through the barcodes, we learned that @senetic is a middle man for all the products they are selling. They are not the direct distributor, so exchanging is a hassle.

2023 bump. i still have a mixed feeling about this website, half reviews say its a scam and the rest says its good. If someone who bought from there can tell me their experience and actually provide proof of the purchase. I want to buy a CPU that is much cheaper than retailers in SA but it seems too good to be true.
