Just an add on post.

Just completed a purchase with Senetic, thought import and duty fees were included with the order - not the case.

Only got notified thereof when my order arrived in the country today.

Bought from them as their Ubiquiti gear was a few R100 cheaper, and they could deliver it early next week... But with the import and duty fees I just finished paying, those few R100 worth of savings got blown away by the additional fees.

Would have been better off waiting and ordering local, lessons learned again about doing things in haste I guess.
 
A response to my query about not including import and duty fees anymore:

"I’m afraid its no longer the case as we used to have entity in South Africa but it’s already closed.

Now we are selling with 0% tax but import/duty fees are on customer’s side.

So just be warned, you will be charged extra by DHL after ordering.
 
checking in on this vendor.

i see that initially people were nervous about ordering from this seller because of the 'too good to be true' prices. it was then revealed that the prices are comparable to other vendors after including the high shipping, customs, etc charges. generally, though, people were satisfied with the products, services, and delivery times.

more recently, it seems that people have encountered some trouble with the customer service end, with missing items in deliveries and silence from email enquiries.

there is still a south african email address and website for this organization, but i see in the above post that he south african entity has been dissolved. now, when browsing products, i don't see any delivery options for south africa as the destination.

has anyone had success ordering from senetic in the last few months?
