Those of you who have it know exactly how much it sucks. My sensitive stomach is the bane of my life, I am dealing with horrific explosions and gas right now, so I figured I would start a thread about it in between mad dashes to the bathroom. What sets your stomach off? What are your remedies?
I apparently have something called "Candida" (look it up, with my stomach as it is right now, I'm not really in the mood to hunt for links), which, when it flares up, seems to give me Irritable Bowel Syndrome, which, in turn, makes me punish the toilet on a regular basis. Basically what sets me off is:
Sugar, wheat, yeast, cheese, any mold-containing foods, MSG, and so on.
I pretty much carry around a little pill box with me in which there is usually Betaparamide (for diarrhea) and Bevispas (for stomach cramps). I find that Kem-o-dine also helps for a really upset stomach, with Eno and bicarb for gas and bloatedness. I have also found ginger (in gingerbeer) to help a bit.
Basically, this makes my life suck. How do the rest of you with sensitive stomachs deal with it?
