Sentech 128K YES OR NO???

So has anyone managed to test the sentech 128k in the Melrose Arch Vicinity yet? Please reply so I can finally decide. I'm now using the Tzone at the arch with my laptop, and I'm getting sick of sitting at Nescafe and getting overdosed on coffee although the conn is really fast! D/L at 80-120k/s![:D]
 
Just got my modem working today.

It's been rock solid the whole day - 4 signal lights, sitting on top of my PC near the window. Signal strength average around 18%

As for gaming - haven't tried yet, but at the moment, I don't think it's going to work well for FPS games.

I've done a few ping tests and it times out every 3 or 4 seconds - iow latency issues. Average to saix is around 300ms.

I haven't done any tweaking tho - perhaps with an aerial and a stronger signal things would improve.

Other than that, so far, I'm very happy - I guess I'm one of the lucky folks with a good location - Blairgowrie/randburg just off Jan Smuts at the top of a rise/hill.

not sure what they mean but if I could walk into a store and pick up a modem right now I would.

They are making this much to difficult to sign up right here right now.

I am despirate to get rid of my telcom bill and bad download speeds.

surely there must be a faster and easier way to get signed up.

I am begging these people to take my money, not the other way around.

Why dont you get someone else to sign up (who has the bucks and can prove it) then you pay them. This is what I am doing. The DNA sampling process can be a problem so dont think you are the only one [:D]
