Serie a 2009/2010

Congrat Interisti!

Lazio also won and Roma fired Spalletti and hired Ranieri. What good news, Spalletti was a genius, Ranieri, well he's not too bright!

Yeah lazio going well.

I heard spalletti resigned. But yeah the tinkerman at roma isn't going work well. At least now we have mourinho vs ranieri round 2.:D

Berlusconi reckons he would have done better. Poor leonardo he will be gone before the winter break.

Berlusconi: 'If I picked the team...'
Wednesday 2 September, 2009
Milan President Silvio Berlusconi has publicly corrected Coach Leonardo’s tactics, saying he would not have lost the derby 4-0.

The patron had said before the match with Inter that he would’ve fielded Clarence Seedorf as a trequartista behind Ronaldinho and Alexandre Pato.

“I have in mind a precise tactical error I had advised was a mistake we should not make,” said the patron and Italian Prime Minister.

“People accuse me of dictating the line-up. I would love to, but there is a Coach and it’s only right he does his job.”

Berlusconi was well known for publicly criticising his tacticians, above all Carlo Ancelotti, and suggesting possible changes.

Ronaldinho is the President’s favourite player and he continually states the Brazilian should be the focal point around which the team is constructed.

There are reports in the Gazzetta dello Sport today that Leonardo is tied down to Dinho and this affects his choices for the rest of the squad.

It’s believed this is why Klaas-Jan Huntelaar only played the final stages of the derby and Pippo Inzaghi has not stepped on to the pitch yet this season.

As Massimo Oddo was not sold this summer and is in the Champions League squad, it’s possible he will be brought in and move Gianluca Zambrotta to left-back.

Saturday 18:00 Livorno vs Milan and 20:45 Lazio vs Juve. Sunday 15:00 Inter vs Parma and 20:45 Genoa vs Napoli. Games live on rai international. SS 3 has the inter and juve games live for those who prefer english commentary.

Good win and performance by the boys. Parma were well organised as always. Great goal by eto'o and a good goal by milito. Mario was great when he came on in the second half. Biabany impressed with his pace for parma.

I saw online when it was still 1-0... so two goals final result eh? Inter seem to be gelling nicely, most notably Eto'o and Milito. I can't wait for the Barca game... it will be epic! :D

Yeah 2-0. Mario had a great chance near the end to make it 3-0 but he waited too long and the keeper guessed the right way when he tried to round him.

But overall I was happy with the performance its always difficult playing the smaller sides at san siro since they tend to park 10 men behind the ball for 90 minutes.

Wednesday should be a great game.

Looks like Inter has Juve to content with this season... AC is nothing this year...

Watched the Inter game and wasnt impressed at all.

Eto scored a cracker but for 70 minutes he was no where in the game which confirmed what all Barca supporters was saying. He doesnt get the service at Inter Milan.

Inter played the long ball alot in the game, they dominated possession but could not make anything of it. I really thought it was going to be a draw. Parma played well.

Ballotelli made the difference, as soon as he came on, things started to happen.

If Inter play like the way they did yesterday, Barca will walk over them. Even the commentator said, Inter's attack play isnt as strong as it used to be.

The commentator doesn't know much. Inter have been much worse than that vs the small teams at home last year.

We did what we had to do and got the result against a very well organised parma side. Sneijder's early shot goes in and the game is easy, it didn't and that meant we had to struggle for the goal but we were always going to get the result. It was very hard to defend for 90 minutes which is what parma tried to do , which is what 99% of the small teams coming to san siro do.

Barca weren't exactly super vs getafe either.;)

What Parma did was what all smaller teams do in all the leagues. As i said, Eto was non existant for 70 minutes and scored due to his own doing and not the teams.

Did you watch the Barca match? If you did, you would have known that in the first half we played our B team recruits but as soon as Messi and Iniesta came on in the second half - the match was over. Within minutes of the near full strength team together, the game was over.

What i noticed about Inter is their serious lack of creativity. They resort to long ball tactics when they cannot open up defences.

With that said, Inter is a great side and im sure it will be a superb match when Barca visit them on Wednesday.

We will see come wednesday. Generally the smaller Italian sides are much better organised tactically than any of the other lower tier teams in the other leagues.

rofl so Barca walked all over inter?

Jose did as predicted... pack the bus pity he doesn't have the United team to score on the counter :D

Nah Inter have the counterattacking strikers. Milito' first touch just let him down on the two occasions today.

I wonder whether marradona will finally see the light after this performance by samuel and select their best central defender.

Inter played a trillion times better than what they did against Parma.

They can be proud of their defensive efforts.

Saturday 18:00 Napoli - Udinese and 20:45 Juve vs livorno. Sunday 15:00 Chievo vs Genoa and 20:45 Roma - Fiorentina.

All games on rai. Inter vs cagliari delayed 1:00 am monday morning. Will follow the game on inter radio and just tape the game and watch it in normal hours.

Not sure if other ppl has noticed but the picture quality / colours on RAI is crap.It just puts me off watching the game.It just looks too dull for me.
